Full power? But with responsibility! Promoting education and culture? But sustainable! Innovations? With pleasure, but then with relevance for society as a whole!
Stephan Muschick is deeply convinced that we should not leave the future to the enormous possibilities of technology and data alone. What we need, he says, is a dialogue about what makes us human and social innovations to use technology and data for our lives. Stephan is Managing Director of the independent innogy Foundation for Energy and Society. Through its work, the foundation aims to increase society’s understanding of these issues and contribute to shaping the energy supply system of the future in a sustainable way.
“In cities current developments and burning questions become visible like under a magnifying glass: What about the blessings of digital technologies? How can a right to affordable housing be organised? Does that even exist? And above all: Where is the human being in an increasingly polarizing (urban) society? Finding answers requires the energy of the community.
I am looking forward to meeting people on the panel who (want to) know how it works. Interdisciplinary, international, innovative, inspiring.”
