How human can digital be? A voyage of discovery – or: the Wacom Experience!
In their tent, Wacom will not only showcase their current range of digital pen displays, but also a glimpse into the future of digital ink. Why the subject of ink is so moving is shown in an exhibition that illustrates that ink – analog and digital – accompanies people through their lives. Their purpose and application are basically always the same: people create, learn and communicate. They find their dynamics and balance in the interplay of fantasy, structure, learning and spontaneity. As social beings, they need a medium for this, because society functions only in exchange. Creativity, chaos and the supposedly false, non-conformist make up exactly what distinguishes humans from algorithms. As a medium, ink is inextricably linked with being human – and in times of digitalization it is more important than ever.
